Garden walls are a favorite design element of ours, often overlooked in today’s gardens. In the case of retaining walls, they can perform important structural functions, as well as creating and defining spaces. They express the character of the site or the larger landscape context and can be built from a vast variety of materials. Often they give us the opportunity to engage and extend the project’s architecture out into the landscape.
